The Medical Centre

Welcome to the Medical Centre from all the staff. Our Practice 'statement of purpose' is as follows.

'Committed to providing the best possible care by our friendly and innovative team.'

At the Medical Centre on the Green in West Drayton the doctors and nurses take pride in offering the highest standard of patient-centred healthcare. We run many clinics for chronic disease care and offer a wide variety of other medical services such as antenatal and postnatal care, minor surgery, childhood vaccinations and well-person check-ups.

In addition to everything you need to know about the practice you will also find a wealth of health-related information in the menu on the right hand side. Please have a look around and do send us some feedback if you like.

Dementia Friends

On Wednesday 5 May 1 pm, Mr Alan Storer of Dementia Friends will be visiting the surgery to talk about people living with dementia and how it effects those around them. It's a very informal and interesting presentation and if you are interested in attending, please contact Mike on 01895 442026 or book at reception (numbers are limited so please book asap).

Disabled Access

The surgery provides for disabled access. There is a ramp from the car park to the surgery entrance. All areas are on the ground floor and there is a disabled toilet. We have also recently altered the reception desk area to allow improved access for our patients.

We would ask patients with a disability to let reception know if you need assistance. We would welcome any suggestions you may have in making your visit to the surgery easier (There is a suggestion box located in the reception area).

Please can you also let reception know if you have any special requirements in the event of a Fire alarm/evacuation.

Did Not Attend (DNA) Policy Review

Due to the high number of DNA's per week (around 40), we have had to review our policy regarding patients who do not turn up for their appointments and who do not phone us in time to cancel their time slots.

Please find a copy of amended policy in the policies section. We will be posting up the weekly numbers of DNAs on the reception access window and on the latest news feature at the top of the website.

Please remember to call us if you can't make an appointment- a patient with an urgent need could be potentially put at risk.

We are especially keen to make sure that the group is fully representative of our patients and therefore invite anyone with an interest to enquire about joining.

Please ask to see Satnam Kaur Khalsa (01895 442026) for more information

We anticipate that the group will meet about four times a year, but arrangements will also be made for members of the group who are not able to attend in person, but feel that they would like to contribute.

We hope that the group will hold their next meeting in August  and we are happy for new members to come forward at any time.

If you experience any difficulty when using this website please contact the surgery for assistance
